HP Pavilion DV9000 Windows 7 Drivers

Note:

HP Pavilion DV9000 released by HP with Windows Vista Operating system. So upgrading to windows 7 requires drivers that not available on the available support page but available on Hp database and vendor website. After few research and feedback, here i list several points that worth to know:

1. There are only 2 types of HP Pavilion DV9000 available which is with Intel Processor and With AMD Processor.

2. HP Pavilion DV9000 with Intel Processor need : All drivers except for chipset and Ethernet. Chipset use Intel chipset installation utility, Intel rapid storage technology and Realtek LAN Ethernet driver.

3. HP Pavilion DV9000 with AMD Processor Need: All drivers except  for chipset use Nvidia chipset. Ethernet already in the chipset installation package. 2 Nvidia chipset drivers available because some model use Nvidia Nforce AR chipset.

4. Wireless : There are 3 applicable wireless Drivers, so you need to choose which work for you.

Instructions:

1. There are 2 type of HP Pavilion DV2000 which is AMD model and INTEL mdoel.
2. To check what type is your DV2000, right click on computer and select properties. It will show what type of processor your DV2000 have.
3. The drivers labeled with AMD CPU is only for model with AMD processor and vice versa.
4. Unlabeled drivers meant to be installed for both intel and amd.
5. Graphic drivers, choose 1 from the 3 drivers available.
6. Wireless, There are 2 type of available wireless drivers intel and broadcom, choose one base on specification.
7. If you didn't know which to choose for VGA or for Wireless, try which work for you and installing wrong driver will not harm your system. It is recommend to uninstall unnecessary drivers via control panel.
 8. MS-UAA patch is important for audio driver installation, do install it and reboot. Do not skip reboot or patch installation.

The HP pavilion DV6-6176SX is one of the HP pavilion DV6 model under DV6-6100 series. This model is not listed in some HP website for support and drivers. The drivers here is officially released by HP, take note for some drivers which have more than one available drivers.
For USB 3.0, WIFI and Graphic there are more 1 applicable driver so you need to choose base on your specification. If you didn't know which to install, try which work for you and installing wrong driver will not harm your system but it will prompt for error instead.

ANOTHER STEP TO INSTALL DV2000 Drivers:

You can simply install all your drivers using the original vista drivers. To do that follow this steps:

1. Donwload you vista drivers on Hp download page.
2. Install all the original vista drivers, ignore the errror because it will extracted the file we need into c:\SWsetup which we will need it later.
3. Open Device manager and right click on device marjed with yellow and select UPDATE DRIVERS.
4. Select Browse my computer for....
5. Click browse and point to the SWsetup folder.

Normally it will work, sometimes it will not install the audio and graphic. Both audio and graphic base on my experience need a MOD driver instead of using manual installation above.

HP Pavilion dv6-6016tx Windows 8 Drivers

HP Pavilion dv6-6016tx also known as HP Pavilion dv6-6016tx Entertainment Notebook PC is one of the HP pavilion DV6 series. It use intel chipset and AMD drivers. There are DV6 model which HP release official windows 8 drivers for it, but this model isn't one of them. The good news is most of the hardware is similar to the one that already tested by Hp so theoretically it will work. The drivers also tested by few users who reported which drivers work for them.

Note that if the driver not labeled with windows 8 32 bit or 64 -bit mean it is compatible with both architecture. 
Some drivers like Wireless have more than one drivers, so you have to choose base on the laptop specification. If you didn't know which to install test which work for you. Installing wrong wireless driver wont harm your system, but make sure to uninstall previous wireless driver from control panel before continue to test with another wireless Driver.

It is a common problem with Hp model which use ATI a.k.a AMD(current name) Graphic driver wont install even it is officially released by HP. So here i put other5 alternative drivers in case the first driver didn't work.

Recommended Operating system, base on the specs this model is suitable to use with:
-Windows 7 64-bit
-Windows 8 64-bit

Recommended upgrade:
-Replace current HDD with solid state drive.
-Upgrade RAM to 8GB

HP Pavilion DV6 Windows 8 Driver

This drivers refer to :
HP Pavilion DV6-xxxx , I need to clarify this to avoid confusion with HP pavilion DV6xxx series. The difference is the dash "-" sign.

This model, HP pavilion DV6-xxxx is not yet tested by HP with windows 8 so there are no official windows 8 drivers released for this model. Here, i listed the drivers base on my research and it's specification. Do let me know if there are problems with the drivers.
